I've gone out on my own to practice designing transformative landscapes that are capable of eventually (and hopefully) existing on their own.
My interest is in the overlap of native plants, regional character and conditions, low-tech solutions, permaculture, water harvesting, and sustainability - where agriculture, habitat, architecture for non-humans, and the "outdoor room" all coexist.

I want to create oases.
I want to build vignettes.
I'm fond of the messy struggle between "natural" and "artificial".
I'm interested in alternative ways in which the built world can accommodate the natural world.
Maybe I'm really into the punk version of landscape architecture.
I embrace the life cycles and futility of what we try to build.

I was originally an artist who became an architect who preferred to garden instead and so, my aesthetic is the confluence of these three things.

*As of yet, the work I've done (with the exception of the MDLT Demonstration Garden) has been solely built by me as an accidentally masochistic means of discovery and experimentation. Moving forward, I'm looking to partner with those that can help with installation and fabrication when necessary.
